Hyundai is all set to vie against the likes of Toyota, Nissan and General Motors at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Korean automaker will unleash its three eco-cars, namely the ix-Metro concept car, i10 EV and Elantra hybrid. The first BMW-esque entrant i.e. Hyundai ix-Metro concept car is a compact utility vehicle touting unshakable banana sills and a hexagonal frame. You might see it hitting the production lines within two years with a different label, maybe, ix-15 or ix-25.
Next in sequel is the company’s first electric vehicle, the Hyundai i10 EV. The car will come equipped with a Li-ion polymer battery from LG. The model is exclusively meant for the Korean market within a year or so.
Last but not the least, Hyundai hopes to unveil its LPG-electric Elantra, but there is no info on its availability.
