Google isn’t new to the green business, and this time also it has done the same in introducing new software that lets you know how furiously alarming the level of deforestation worldwide is. Not only does this software inform you on the same, it actually allows you to track and monitor global deforestation.
Developed in conjunction with Greg Asner of the Carnegie Institution for Science and Carlos Souza of Imazon, the software analyzes the level of deforestation through satellite image data. Past, present and future data combine to offer realistic info on the tree cover.
