What daughters learn from their fathers

Generally daughters idolize their mothers as they learn several things from her like how to handle situations and how to be a mother, wife and an individual. However, it is widely accepted that they are more close to their fathers. Fathers help them understand about the relationships in life and which relation can be called healthy and what should she see while looking for a partner. A daughter and father can never compete with each other, whereas in case of mother and daughter the case is not so as jealousy evolves at some or the other point in life.

Father is the one who works hard to earn the bread and butter for the family. He also provides the best to his daughter and is ready to shell out bucks for things she wish for in life. His great love, affection and care towards her is something really precious. In some father daughter relations there is a lack of understanding and communication where father fails to understand what are his daughter’s need and what she actually expects from him. Hence, it is the responsibility of the father to improve the understanding level with his girl child.

Father is one important person in girl’s life who teaches her how to deal with situations. The relation is all about how you respect each other:

  1. Most of the daughter father relation goes pretty well. However, at the time of teenage years, they don’t argue much as compared to mothers and daughters. At this age, relation between father and daughter become less communicative.
  2. Girls always look for the protection and safety from their fathers. They think that the father will be there whenever they miss or need them. The true value of a father in girl’s life comes when they learn about males in the world; how they think, act and speak. Hence, they expect their father to be respectful, gentle and want their positive approach. Fathers should also realize that they create a good image in their daughters mind about how his life partner will be, and so he set a good example for her future relationships.
  3. Father should always take care and love his daughter. Usually girls don’t show love towards their father and in reality miss them in their absence. In case of mother, she can show her love to her anytime.

What daughters learn from dads

  1. A relation between father and daughter is first male female relationship. From dad, the small girl gets first reflection of herself as a woman. He is the one who teaches her how to respond to adverse situations.
  2. Daughter learns that they can relax and feel safe when they are with certain males. At young age girls learn about the right of privacy, modesty and develop certain boundaries.
  3. It is not necessary that women have to be aggressive all the time. When a daughter learn to communicate with father, what counts during such communication is trust and affection, allow them to be assertive and stand up for themselves.
  4. Daughter also learns about the true meaning of marriage and what she can expect from it. If her parents treat each other well, it becomes the expectation that even she will get a shinny future like them.
  5. The relation between father and daughter is important as it teaches them to learn how to negotiate fairly and compromise in a right manner. If father is right, fair and listen to the thought of his kid then she gains self confidence and pride in her own self.

One important relationship that a daughter has in her life is with her father. May be because of the fact that he is like her guarding angel, always protecting her regardless the situation. May be it the time hen he holds her in his arms, when she falls in love for the first time, when she gets married, or get a first job.

The care, love, affection which a daughter gets from her father is unique and incomparable. If you will ask any father about this relation, he will say no matter after all important phases in his life, his daughter will always be his little girl and he will always protect her and guide her whenever needed.
