‘Natural disasters forcing people to leave their homes’

Human migration, forced or otherwise, will undoubtedly be one of the most significant consequences of environmental degradation and climate change in the decades to come. Climate change is threatening humanity as a whole and is possibly a human-induced problem. In response to the growing pressure on landscape and livelihood, people are moving and communities are adapting.

Climate change is forcing people towards homelessness in Cameroon. As a result of floods, 70,000 people have gone homeless in southern Chad and neighboring Cameroon, an addition to the thousands, already displaced, since the season rains began.

Global warming is on its peak and these kind of natural disasters are likely to continue. No one knows how far these nature disasters will take us, and how many more lives may be lost as a result of climate change.
