Child friendly Android tablet, Kurio

In an age where kid’s gadgets sell like hot cakes, a lesser known player ‘Inspiration Works’ came up with a brand new tablet, primarily intended to target kids. An endeavor that witnessed moderate success, appears promising this time. The manufacturers labeled it as an Android tablet meant for kids with much to offer to adults as well.

Geeky design and concept

The Kurio tablets from the house of Inspiration Works, combines fun and features together quite comprehensively. With a display of around of 7, 8 and 10 inches, these would sneak easily into your pocket. It has an internal memory of 4GB which is expandable up to 32GB with the help on a microSD card. Further, it sports a 0.3 mega pixel front camera while the 8 and 10 inch models would also feature 2 mega pixel rear cameras. It would also allow you to enjoy a seamless video playback at 1080p full high definition (HD) and is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Most of the features are children friendly. It includes customizable software profile that enables up to eight children to play and enjoy together. The tablet also provides access to application and websites. The rubber case further makes it safe on kids hand, making it resistant to shocks and bumps.

Why it’s great?

The 7 inch model sports a standard 800×480 screen, the 8 inch model features a 4:3, 800×600 screen panel and the 10 inch model has a resolution of 940×600. The internal memory of 4GB can be increased by using a microSD card of 32GB. Capable of delivering 1080p HDMI video playback, it ensures crystal clear viewing experience. Buzz is ‘ON’ of a possible ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ update that would make the processor smooth.

Cost

The tablet is expected to hit the stores on July. It would be made available in three versions of 7, 8 and 10 inch screen and is priced around $233, $280 and $311 respectively.
