Water.org reflects Matt Damon’s intent to supply the 2.5 billion people of under-developed nations with clean sanitation and 890 million with potable water. The non-profitable organization and website is currently running various projects in Kenya, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, India, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Philippines. What does Water.org stand for?

Water.org is all for awareness-building expertise and certain innovations that could help make an impact on the present water crisis.

I’ve been working to realize the vision of global access to safe water, and with the help of our donors, staff, partner organizations and the H2OAfrica team, I’m confident we can accelerate our impact.

Says Gary White, WaterPartners’ Executive Director and co-founder. He also does his part for the project.

The initiator, Matt Damon, has been actively associated with such green acts in past. The proud owner of a hybrid car is also a member of Greendimes.com.
