It aims to rescue, re-use and recycle some of the tons of wood rather allowing them go to the landfills. The company enlists volunteers, trains them and provides them with employment. After amassing timber aplenty, BWRP transforms the redundant lumber into traditional, beautiful products at its workshop. The volunteers via their expert masonry skills create masterworks from the recycled wood. Whether you allow them take away your out-of-date furniture or purchase the finished product, you actually put your share into recycling.

Green motive bases itself on teamwork:

As far as actual fabrication is concerned, BWRP relies on volunteers for collecting, disposing, de-nailing and transforming the wasted timber. Anyhow, volunteers always come up with creativity and vigor. Moreover, it inculcates a sense of camaraderie among them that promotes learning by doing. Hence, it proves to be a great learning experience for the team.
BWRP lines up its objectives as under:

a) The Non Profit Distributing Organization utilizes any profit in reinvesting it in services or business growth. It doesn’t distribute it to shareholders.
b) It follows the triple bottom-line: social, environmental and financial.
c) In a bid to save resources from stockpiling landfills, it mechanically recycles and transforms timber in to wood chips for future use.
d) The company strives to provide affordable timber and resources to the local community.
e) Via the social inclusion, it promotes learning through volunteering and provides work placement opportunities.
f) BWRP has been a self-funded organization since its start from the scratch.

To sum it up, the company has effectively achieved its objectives. in the year 2008, BWRP collected 355 tons of waste, re-used 23% of this (approximately 82 tons) and recycled 74% of this (approximately 263 tons).
