The new, better-looking product by the company is strong, safe and durable. The state’s first solar panel manufacturer has crafted its new solar panel uniquely by concealing the electrical gear of the panel into small, protected side panels and squeezing silicon between super strong glass.
Just this summer Silicon Energy received certification from Underwriters Laboratory for its solar modules. This official recognition signifies that all the solar panels of the company meet product safety and compliance guidelines. The panels are designed to endure 125 pounds per square foot, hence increasing the durability so that they can withstand harsh weather. Silicon Energy’s solar panels can be brought into use for canopies, carports and awnings, conventional roof installations and wall installations. These solar panels have hit the market this summer and cost somewhere between $11,000 and $14,000.
