Tuna Eyeball, Japan

Of course we are accustomed to eating the eyes of fishes. But not one as big as the Tuna’s eyes which literally bore into your sub conscious mind as you stare at them sitting on your plate. With a rubbery eyeball wall and an egg like texture inside, the Tuna eyeball would look anything but appetizing. And mind you, if you get the gag factor into your mind, there is no stopping you from throwing up the eye immediately.

Live Octopus

Care to eat one of these slimy, slippery creatures while they are still alive? Then head over to Korea where you feast on a plate of squirming squid/octopus tentacles. You can literally feel the tentacles move around in your mouth as you chew on them. The thought of eating an animal’s penis may sound too disgusting. However, many individuals claim that animal penises are healthy for the body. In addition to having collagen that is good for the skin, animal penises contain aphrodisiacs which can boost libido. The majority of animal penises are steamed or fried in oil while some are eaten raw. There is also a wide variety to choose from, including goat, ox, cow, sheep, dog, donkey, yak, kangaroo and even seal.

Shiokara, Japan

Another Japan delicacy, Shiokara is a dish made of several marine animals. It contains tiny pieces of meat soaked in a viscous paste, which, in turn, is made from the fermented raw organs of animals. Sold in plastic or glass containers, the dish is very popular in bars and night clubs where you gulp it down in one go and then drown it immediately with a shot of whiskey.

Balut

Considered as one of the grossest delicacies ever, Balut is a soft boiled fetal duck served intact inside its shell. Very popular in Vietnam and Philippines, the dish is a fertilized duck egg that is incubated and allowed to grow for a few weeks, by which time the body of the fetal duck would start forming. It is then soft boiled and served for diners who actually get to sees the bones, feathers and beak (and sometimes legs) of the fetal duck. All you need to is slurp it in one go, although we wonder if anyone would have the nerve to swallow a nearly born baby duck.
