Underactive Thyroid Diet

When you identify any of the above-mentioned symptoms then it’s time to get on with the Underactive Thyroid Diet. It is the best way to treat a particular condition. You would need to consume foods that are rich in zinc, iodine, and selenium.

Breakfast Start your day by eating whole bread along with eggs or cereals. You can choose a whole grain or wholemeal bread. These bread types contain a high amount of energy and low-fat content. You must have herbal tea. You should consume low-fat milk only. You can also have yogurt at breakfast. Fresh fruits like strawberries can also be eaten in the morning meal.

Lunch You may have skinless chicken or turkey sandwich for lunch. The sandwich should be made of whole bread. You can add tomatoes. This meal has enough vitamin B and C for the dieter to bring thyroid function back to normal. You must drink plenty of water during the day. It helps in flushing all the impurities from the body. Consuming apples as an afternoon snack is absolutely fine.

Dinner Eat fish and shrimps with brown rice. Salmon is a good option for this meal. You can have steamed vegetables to dress the meal. Pepper, lettuce, and tomatoes can be used for this purpose. You can have a bowl of soup at dinner. Finish your supper by eating yogurt.

The success of the dieter depends on developing healthy eating habits. Fruits and veggies play a key role in this diet. Eat more of green leafy vegetables. Have five servings of fruits and veggies a day along with vitamin supplements.
