Painkillers pose risk for heart failure

If you have developed the habit of taking painkillers, just hold on. According to a new study published in Heart medical journal, the use of painkillers may increase the danger of heart failure by thirty percent. Patients are frequently being prescribed anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). A previous diagnosis of heart failure may generate risk for heart failure. It increases the danger by more than seven times.

The Spanish Centre for Pharmacoepidemiological Studies in Madrid has used the database of UK General Practice Research. With the help of that database, they compare the danger of heart failure for those taking NSAIDs with those who were not. They find,according to the comparing results, that painkillers pose danger to the smooth heart functioning.
