Kawasaki Syndrome is on the rise in China

Kawasaki Syndrome or mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome is on the rise in China. This is an immune system disorder that affects children. The disease first came in news in Japan where it occurs mostly now. The study shows that it crops up among Asians generally. The disorder affects the mucus membranes, lymph nodes, walls of the blood vessels and the heart.

Chinese researchers have a epidemiological investigation across ten states. They found that it varied from two per 100,000 to twenty-seven per 100,000 in different regions. The cause of Kawasaki disease is yet to be determined. Experts say it can be an autoimmune disorder hurried by unknown factors.
