Now potato chips can help reduce cancer and diabetes risks!

It has been a long time; scientists have been warning us of the bad health effects of trans fatty acids. But, two U.S. scientists say have successfully juggled the molecular structure of soy oil to produce trans fatty acids with significant health benefits!

Thanks to Professor Andrew Proctor and graduate student Vishal Jain at the University of Arkansas. They have produced soy oil that is rich in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). This acid helps in reducing the risks of cancer and diabetes.

The CLA also helps in reducing body fat and waist size! Thus, now trans fatty acid can be of several benefits to your health! – For example, now one can produce ‘healthier potato chips’ from the converted oil, with high concentrations of CLA. Proctor and Jain have also made these so-called ‘healthier potato chips’.
