GAPS Diet has become a routine diet for many people around the world. People start this diet to gain health benefits and leave after attaining desired results. The question arises that there are several health diets so why go for GAPS Diet?

The diet is also known as Grain-Free Diet. It allows an individual to consume easy to digest meals from broth, meat, and vegetables. The diet is used to heal and seal intestines. Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) has various health benefits for the dieter.

People with milk intolerance, digestive issues, and allergies must get on with this diet. The diet is also used as a gentle cleansing for the human body. You don’t have to follow the diet forever. You may carry on with the diet till the time you don’t heal and seal your intestines.

How Does GAPS Work?

The diet has six stages. You slowly move towards Full GAPS from less restrictive foods. Usually, dieters have to carry on with this diet for a month. You are required to have 4 meals during the day. Below is a detailed discussion on what foods to include and how to design your GAPS Diet Menu Plan.

Day 1

  • Breakfast Banana Pancakes
  • Lunch  Spaghetti Pie
  • Dinner Shepard’s Pie
  • Snack Peanut butter and apples

Day 2

  • Breakfast Omelet and smoothie
  • Lunch Steamed carrots and muffins
  • Dinner  Minus chips and taco salad
  • Snack Apples and nut butter brownies

Day 3

  • Breakfast Honey butter along with pumpkin pancakes
  • Lunch  Leftovers
  • Dinner  Squash fries, salad, and meatzza
  • Snack Apples and leftover pancakes

Day 4

  • Breakfast Smoothie along with French toast soufflé
  • Lunch Leftovers
  • Dinner  Mashed cauliflower, gravy, roast chicken and steamed carrots
  • Snack  Cheese and grapes

Day 5

  • Breakfast Omelet
  • Lunch Leftovers
  • Dinner Beef stew
  • Snack Apples and Pumpkin Pie

Day 6

  • Breakfast  Scrambled eggs and yogurt
  • Lunch  Leftovers
  • Dinner  Squash fries, broccoli with cheese and meatloaf
  • Snack  Grapes and apple nut balls

Day 7

  • Breakfast Omelet and apple nut balls
  • Lunch  Leftovers
  • Dinner  Meatballs and spaghetti with sauce
  • Snack  Nut Bars
