Flame-grilled foods linked to breast cancer!

Women, fond of flame-grilled meat must stop eating it because it may make them more prone to breast cancer. This study has crept out of a research conducted at the Johns Hopkins University. For this study, researchers deeply examined the diet and eating patterns of 312 women with breast cancer and 316 women without breast cancer. Then they concluded that women eating flame-grilled foods more than twice per month were at 74 percent higher risk of developing breast cancer as compared to the women who didn’t eat flame-grilled foods. Throwing light on the reason Dr. Kala Visvanathan, the lead researchers avers:

Meat at high temperatures in direct heat over an open flame can lead to the production of cancer-causing chemicals known as heterocyclic amines, or HCAs.

This study further points out those women who eat more than 64 grams of meat daily are more likely to develop breast cancer.

This disclosure is really going to taste bitter, especially to those women who have great taste for flame-grilled meat. However, I think such women should bridle their tongues.
