Someone once said, “Anyone can look at the other’s eyes, but lovers can see into each other’s souls”, apparently doctors may not be able to go as far as that, but they can totally tell you about your health by looking in your eyes. Guided by this hypothesis, EyeMarker, a company that came out of West Virginia University research project, has launched The Ocular Scanning Instrument (OSI).
The application of OSI is, however, more concerned with the millitary and terrorist response application. They gauge them on chemical parameteres as Chemical or neurotoxin exposure, Cyanide ingestion and Carbon monoxide exposure.
The calibre of the machine is immense and is gaining ground in the medical environs owing to its ability to detect certains types of brain trauma and systemic problems.Moreover, diabetes and hypertension can also be unmasked by the OSI.
People believe that eyes have a language of their own, well, the EyeMarker could not agree more to that!
