Environment hazards cause 25 % of all diseases

Twenty-five per cent of all disease occurs because of environmental exposures. The children are at greater risk predominantly. Almost one-third of all disease in children associates with environment.

The World Health Organization has conducted a study about the impact of environmental hazards on people’s health. The report has gone through 102 diseases and surprisingly finds that 85 of them are chiefly originated from environmental reasons.

Annette Pruess-Ustun, the lead author, says,

everyone affects in some way, but not in the same way. There are major difference between the developed and developing countries. children are getting sick and dying from contaminated water, poor sanitation, and great amount of pollution in the developing countries. Chemical exposures and mental stresses cause cancer and cardiovascular disease in most of the developed world as well.
