Chronic Fatigue Syndrome finds place in another research

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a set of some conditions with varying genetic and environmental causes. This is heterogeneous. The brains and immune systems of affected people do not respond normally to physical and psychological stresses.

The findings come from the trial on people with the syndrome. The result is published in the journal Pharmacogenomics. It suggests that many cases of chronic fatigue have links to a handful of brain and immune system related genes.

Scientists looked at the activity levels of 20,000 genes. These are generally involved in the body’s response to stresses as infections, injuries or emotional trauma.

The activity of just 26 genes precisely predict about the six categories of chronic fatigue. This is a prevailing tip-off that the genes involved in immune system, the adrenal gland, the hypothalamus and pituitary gland may hold clues to the disease variants.

The brain, in the response to physical and emotional activities, can have some changes in neurons. Chronic fatigue syndrome may be the result of this bad rewiring job.
