Regular eye checkups important for children

Stressing on the significance of regular eye checkups for children the American Optometric Association says that eye checkups just at the time of birth is not sufficient. AOA further claims that parents should take their small children for periodical eye checkups. If eye checkups of newborn baby come out good then it is quite possible that children would not require further eye checkups until he reaches the age of three. AOA firmly believes that preventive checkups can help treating problems like vision loss, lazy eye or crossed eye effectively.

Personally, I believe that in earlier stage, usually, it is quite difficult for parents to know about the health of eyes of their children but regular eye checkups can make the detection possible and they should go for it as early as possible.
