The much awaited release of Microsoft Windows 8, promises to begin a new era for the 37 year old software company. This new operating system brings the touchscreen experience for PC users. The technology combines the elements of a touchscreen application with a traditional style PC interface. This is a big technological breakthrough. Windows has launched the touchscreen features on phone, but the company is doing something like this for the first time for computer usage. This has created a lot of excitement in the technology world and among computer lovers.

The application is currently in its testing phase. The good news is that Windows 8 will not be supporting gadgets alone. These new motions which are not available in the current windows operating systems, will make Windows 8 a much easier and user friendly for the current PC users. The other accessories that Logitech is testing for Windows 8 is a wireless rechargeable touch pad. In addition to this Microsoft has launched its own line of accessories which would be compatible with Microsoft Windows 8. This new line of accessories is listed below:

  • Wedge Mobile Keyboard
  • Sculpt Comfort Keyboard

Both the keyboards include hot keys for Windows 8 search, share, Device and Settings options. Till now the windows experience has been strictly limited to keyboard-monitor based, with no touchscreen interaction. These 2 keyboards will play a pivotal role in initiating the users to the Windows 8 experience in a big way.

The launch of Windows 8 may be a risky venture for both Microsoft and the user base, as it is like pulling them out of their comfort zone. But who knows, like mobiles and other gadgets, this may be a turning point in the PC and Computer World.
