Worsened drought forcing kangaroos into Australian cities

kangaroos invading australian cities as drought wo

Just imagine the tigers, camels and bears romping around the parks and footpaths of the cities. This is surely not a fairy-tale narration to a kid, but the horrifying future of our own planet! Thanks to global warming leading to climate changes across the world.

The devastating global phenomenon is leading to expansion of the stretches of perched lands, which is now forcing the wild animals out of their habitats.

This is exactly what is happening in the drought-hit Australia. The record-worst drought across the country in 100 years is driving the kangaroos into cities in search of food and water!

Unusual a spectacle, kangaroos are spotted hopping around the lush grounds of the lakeside home of Australia’s Governor General, Sir Michael Jeffery! Call them Canberra’s urban kangaroos; they are also sighted in greater numbers in other cities and towns in the southeast of Australia as well.

With the sporadic lashing rain and large droughts, this shifting seems to be the animals’ survival strategy.

The future of the planet seems grim, heading towards devastation, with the dividing lines between the wild and the humans fading out – which may soon lead to competition in the bid to procuring both living space as well as food.
