Made in collaboration with Pungprechawat and Emette Rivera, this threaded desk lamp from ReMade Studios combines old craft techniques with new technology in its design. It has a hand turned shade that has been made from salvaged wood and it rests on a square tube brass frame. Cotton threads sent in through holes in the shade form a web through which the light makes its way out in a unique way. Pungprechawat calls it “a textured layering and stitching effect that is best seen through the patterns created when the lamps are lit.” Versions of threaded desk lamp will be available for $300 each.
