We have earlier introduced you to some of the most expensive speakers of all time that have been engineered and designed to meet the most discerning needs of a true audiophile. Coming in spring 2013, the new Wave_40 speaker from the house of Soundkaos has been designed to combine contemporary styling with sublime sound to soothe our senses. The Wave_40 speaker flaunts an all solid alpine spruce and maple enclose and an 8″ full range driver with a ribbon tweeter to deliver truly immersive high-quality sound.
The floating tone wood enclosure is completely decoupled from driver and stand, and the loading is a hybrid transmission line/rear horn. Soundkaos says that the Alpine spruce, which has been used for Stradivari or Guarneri violins, has incredible properties for shedding sound waves quickly. Soundkaos will be presenting the new Wave_40 speakers at the High End Swiss show this year in October.
