Does preconception health apply to women who do not plan to get pregnant?

Its two years that I am married but still now I am not planning to get married. I want to know do I still need to take care about my preconception. What will be the bad effect on my health if I will not take care of my health regarding this? What will be the benefits that I will get if I will stay active?
