Things you will miss doing as a 'new mommy

Motherhood comes with great responsibilities. If you are planning to embrace this phase of motherhood, you would definitely like to take a reality check at few things that you could miss doing, once you become a mommy. Have a look.

No ‘White-T’ any more

You need to move out your lovely white tanks and jeans from the closet, once you have a baby to look after. In fact, if pastel colors like ivory, off-white or taupe are among your favorites, switch to some darker shades, if you are planning a baby.

Closing down the ‘bar’

Closing on happy hours is a sure shot thing to happen! If you love to binge on drinks, you would need to give it a second thought for a long time as a new mommy. In fact, you would be required to quit drinking, once you decide to conceive.

Peaceful bath time

Long hours in a hot luxurious shower will be compromised, since your routine would be equipped by another most important person – your baby. Relaxed bath time could become a distant memory until a long time.

‘Zone out’ time getting grounded

If you enjoy sitting in front of the TV in wee hours, you would probably miss it soon. TV would become the last thing for you to relax. Your daily shows after 11 pm would take a back seat until your baby is old enough to go to bed on his own.

Quick getting out of the door

If you enjoy being out with your bag mostly, you will have to re-check it, once you become a mom. You will need to add a good amount of time in packing and managing essentials for your baby, before leaving the house. Getting out of the door quickly will become a distant memory now.

Reading novels by chapters

Motherhood can disappoint an avid reader, since you will seldom get a chance to concentrate on the content of any novel for long hours. So, if you are hooked on to your favorite monthly magazine, you would probably ‘miss’ your reading time.

Long ‘phony’ conversations

If you love talking to your friends on phone uninterrupted, you will have to reconsider your hobby. However, it could also be profitable as it would cost you less on your phone bills.
