Make Your Guest Room Amazing

<![CDATA[A guest room you needs to be a room that your guests can feel is their own. They don’t’ want to feel like free loaders but rather people staying at a resort. With some simple steps you can achieve this.

Match the furniture in your guest room to the furniture in the rest of your home but make it slightly different. You want the guest room to be independent but related. I wouldn’t suggest having a guest room that looks like a hospital while the rest of your house is antique wooden furniture but there needs to be a division.

I suggest getting a set of cool bunk beds for your guest room. This doubles the sleeping space without taking up more floor space. There are great adult bunk beds on the market that don’t look like they are designed for kids. Even if you plan to have kids stay in the room there is no reason to buy anything other than adult bunk beds. A kid fits in an adult sized bed better than an adult fits in a kid’s bed.
Respect their room. You should always knock and ask the guest’s permission to come in. This is not just to avoid awkward situations but also to really show them that they are special guests and not just freeloaders. They need to have their space and have someplace to retreat to when they are tired of talking to you.

Put an alarm clock next to the bunk beds and make sure it has back up batteries that you replace regularly. Towels, extra bedding and pillows should be available to your guests in their own room so they don’t have to ask for them. Get some bureaus and bedside tables. Make sure that there is an empty closet in the room with lots of hangers.

These are just a few simple steps you can use to really make your guest room someplace that people want to stay. Don’t make it too classy or you may just want to stay there yourself.
