A Japanese limo company, Lequios is planning to unleash its new eco-friendly vehicle, the Prius Hearse. The idea behind the car is to make your last road trip an environmentally friendly one. It is believed to be the world’s highest-mileage hearse. The Prius Hearse helps protecting the environment as it has the lowest carbon footprint of any casket-transport device.
The Prius Hearse concept is expected to be one high-class hybrid vehicle. Based on the third-generation Prius, the hearse version measures 1930mm (77.2 inches) for a total length of 6400mm (256 inches, or 21.34 feet) which is considerably large than the mid-sized hybrid.
The additional weight and length does hamper the fuel economy to a certain extent, but it is still quite respectable: 20.9km/l or about 44 mpg. You can ride around in this supreme eco luxury for just 7,875,000 yen ($83,000 appox).
