Green-Architecture: Alban Manissi’s Green Water City

Why don’t the usual architectural practices have a soft corner for ecology? Why is it necessary to plan cities at the expense of nature where one is least concerned about sustainability, green living and all? These are some obvious concerns that trouble any environmentalist today. And we’re here with a reason to smile amid everything gloomy around. Alban Mannisi projects a unique architectural and agricultural city design dubbed as NESSIE, the Green Water City – Quingpu in Shanghai, China. The project actually is the entire biosphere in miniature.

Multi-scalar City extends in all directions:

The sustainable architecture itself takes care of ample oxygen supply owing to the vertical towers with open-aired columns right there in the middle of the green city. Secondly, as the city is erected on a marshy land, you can imagine actually how concrete worm-like structures make it look beautiful. These glass-buildings supply far-off cities with mundane utilities. The city extends in all directions with trees narrating the glorious past.

Green ingenuity is simply awesome!

The wavy skyscrapers are in a perfect unison with the greenery around and within. Edifices amid lush green expanses, you won’t find such a novelty elsewhere. It’s, indeed, a perfect bio-network with sufficient oxygenation to flora and fauna. If you wish to be at the heart of a pastoral ecosystem, this is the place to be in.
