For geeky kids: Crazy 3x3x7 puzzle

Crazy 3x3x7 puzzle

There is a new gadget in town named the Simplicity Cubic 3x3x7 IQ Brick. Perhaps Rubik’s Cube could have been a more apt name, but as that name could entangle with copyright issues, the name has been changed to the current one. The only difference between a Rubik’s Cube and this is that the Rubik’s Cube is a 3x3x3 cube that one must solve, while this is a 3x3x7 Cube. Being 3x3x7 Cube and not a 3x3x3 cube, has its share of advantages as well as disadvantages. As an advantage it will test your brain more with its complexity level which is more than that of the Rubik’s Cube but on the down side, the test of intelligence might just be a tad bit too much for you to handle. With this marvel of a puzzle cube one can make some serious strange turns and it can be quite an interesting challenge for anyone who is attempting to solve it.

Freaky design

The design of the cube is attractive.Though the cube may look old like a Rubik’s Cube from the eighties, there are subtle differences which are noticeable. For instance, two of the ‘layers’ in the cube have actually three layers to them. You can refer more to the picture above from the Brando website to better understand it. There is of course the wide and varied colors in the cube just like a traditional Rubik’s Cube. But each side of the Rubik’s Cube has 3X3 even squares, i.e total of nine squares on each side. On this cube though, the design is quite different as you can see from the picture above. There are three rectangular lines in between every two squares of each side, i.e total of 9 rectangular lines on each side of the cube. The whole design is thus similar, yet different. The easiness with which the Cube can be held is also made clear from the picture above, as the Cube comes well within the grasp of the hands.

Geeky concept and use

This cube does have some nice use. You can turn the cube in strange ways which will surely enthrall you as the turns are definitely different than those of the Rubik’s Cube. Moreover, the funny part is that you might also think of being able to turn the Cube in certain ways but just as you could turn it in peculiar ways and turns, you might not be able to turn it in the way you might be thinking of. Unless you try out this Cube for yourself though, you would not understand the complexities and unique turns and ways this Cube symbolizes. The design is also made in such a way that one can handle the Cube smoothly without much trouble as the dimensions of the cube are 5.5×5.5×5.5 cm. As with the Rubik’s Cube, this cube too helps to improve both IQ and EQ levels of the person using it. If that’s not all, the Cube might also help in left and right brain training. The Cube can be a good past time any day and whether its between a coffee break or when you are getting bored in office, the Cube will always come handy.
