Feng Shui your bedroom to sleep in positivity

Improve the quality of your life and bring in some positivity to your home with the help of Feng Shui. As is popularly known, Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese system that uses the laws of Heaven and Earth to invite positive vibes to one’s home and balance the yin and yang in one’s environment. Since the bedroom is that part of your house which you use the most and also sleep in it. It is very essential for your bedroom to radiate positive energy.

Here are a few tips on how you can change things in your bedroom in accordance with Feng Shui:

Away from the main entrance: Your bedroom should always be as far away as possible from the main entrance of your house.

Bed position: Positioning your bed from where the door of your room is visible, builds a sense of inner security. However, it is important to sleep with the door closed.

Head position: Never sleep with your head close to the window as you energy (chi) will flow out while you sleep which will in turn make you feel exhausted when you wake up instead of feeling refreshed.

Bathroom door: If you have a bathroom in your room, be sure to always keep the door closed when you sleep.

Relationship with bed mate: A rickety bed or one that is about to fall apart symbolizes the relationship between you and the person with whom you share your bed. Thus, make sure you sleep on a strong and steady bed.

Ceiling Lamps and Beams: Avoid installing ceiling lamps directly over your head in your bedroom. If there is a ceiling beam straight over your head, cover it up.

Beauty and inspiration: It helps to keep something beautiful or inspirational in your bedroom so that object is the first thing you see when you wake up in the morning.

Space under your bed: Always keep the space under your bed clear and avoid storing unwanted items in this space.

No equipment: Avoid keeping a television, computer or any kind of work out equipment in your bedroom.

Fresh air: To ensure positive energy, make sure that your bedroom has enough ventilation and fresh air. This means a room in which the air conditioner is switched on all through the day only has stale air circulating which means negative energy. Therefore, make sure to open the windows every few hours for some fresh air.

Candles for positive vibes: A good way to bring about positivity in your bedroom is by lighting a few nontoxic candles.

Images in paintings: Beware of hanging paintings or art installations that depict a sad, lonely or disastrous scene. Always pick scenes of happiness and prosperity.

No work space: Never have a work space in your bedroom. Keep this space clear of all unpaid bills, files and post it notes. The bedroom is a space for relaxation and such items only aggravate stressful energy.

Soft colors: Always pick light or pastel shades for the walls of your bedroom. Strictly avoid dark or dull colours.

Natural light: For any room to be vibrant with positive energy, natural light is a must. Make sure you allow enough sunlight to pour into your bedroom every morning.
