Dwell Hunting: YETA Mimetic Eco-hut made completely of wood

yeta mimetic eco hut

It’s not the first time we have come across a house made from wood logs. We have already come across a tree trunk garden house before on HomeQn.

Property:
Here we have yet another innovative creation from Lab Zero hailed as the “YETA Mimetic Eco-hut.” The hut designed by Flavio Galvagni is made completely out of wooden logs that appear like tree trunks stacked together.

Facets

Accommodation:
The micro-sized hut sits in an overall area of 3.7 m wide x 4.9 m length and 3.10 m height, offering nearly all the essential aspects of a home. Moreover, its flexibility makes it bend according to the need, and the way one would like to use this micro-architectural structure.

Interior & Exteriors:

Coming to the interiors, the eco-hut features a small room with a mini-kitchen and a mini-bathroom with shower. Since the entire structure is made of wood, it is insulated and the glass is insulated with the thick double layer making the room pretty comfortable for the winter. Thanks to its photovoltaic system that keeps it free from the usage of electrical grid.

What’s unique?

The YETA apart from being an inspirational mini hut for a small family offers wide prospect to be used in many different ways. The YETA can be used as a mini research lab in parks or remote areas, as a shelter on a mountain, as a display station in natural settings, as a mini-lodge in provincial parks and camping grounds, as a temporary dwelling in disaster-stricken area, a meditation space, a research camp or a storage/service unit.
