If I would be asked to change some aspect of my home, the doors would be my priority. I would want to see them in some new form and something that would drop down the jaws. On Instructables I have found the way to my door in new shape. The automatic sliding doors gets powered by air to make you through to your rooms. Just like any sliding doors you find in any Enterprise, this door neatly slides into the walls. The air is supplied by a compressor in the attic that provides the pressure necessary to move the door sections. A small PIC microcontroller drives the system and also offers the possibility for future changes. The door is surely to be liked by the geeks making a perfect entryway for the rooms.
