The secured future and a good source of income is all that human beings crave for. This desire sometimes makes man to go out of the way. Aney Edson Taylor is one such great woman who, in order to secure her future went all the way to jump from the Niagara Falls inside a barrel.

She had a struggling childhood after she lost her father at a tender age, and later her child and even her husband. With very few means of livelihood she was left with no other option than to do something which would bring her instant name and make her famous. And there she was with an idea, though extremely insane, to jump off the largest water fall in the world, the Niagara.

With the help of Frank Russel, Aney, in the year 1901 decided to go over the Niagara Falls, inside a 4.5 feet high and 3 feet wide barrel, which was cushioned from within. The audience stood spine chilled while Aney performed her stunt. Surprisingly Aney surpassed the jump with a minor wound on her forehead. This made the woman extremely famous and known within no time. Now that’s what we call the real ‘woman power’.

The seasoned travelling instincts and quest for exploring in Jeffrey made him journey down the Congo River in a canoe. The journey was not just adventurous but quite dangerous too and survival became the primary object of the journey. Jeffery survived to tell his tale to the adventure freaks back home.

Daredevil acts are a proof of the huge courage and strong will power of human beings to do something very unusual and daunting. However, these stunts also cause a serious danger to those performing them and to those who get inspired from such people.
