Endangered falcons killed shamelessly in Cyprus

Talk about having a bad day at the office. This is the height of insensitive nonsense that makes human race look like a bunch of disillusioned, heartless demons. I’m sorry if I’m not being very objective, but its damn tuff to be objective when you get to know that 58 birds have been slaughtered for amusement & all these are a part of species that is already dwindling. The country of Cyprus which is a popular tourist spot in the Mediterranean is also a popular spot for millions of migrating birds. On this beautiful coastline, 58 endangered Red-Footed Falcons have been shot dead in a game to please the senses of some senseless creatures.

Red-Footed Falcon is classified as a ‘near-threatened’ species. Even with my limited intelligence, I can figure it out that that means they are as close to extinction as they can get. ‘Seriously endangered’ might be the term. The birds were found along with cartridges that are normally associated with clay-target shooting. They were found dead on October 4th according to the sources.

Birdlife International’s Martin Hellicar said;

This is ecological vandalism in its worst form.

Even that, is putting it mildly. They were shot as target practice!! Target practice?? Are you kidding me? What kind of practice is that? Maybe you should call it ‘practice to target the ecology‘. This is cold-blooded murder. On one side you have committed scientists & environmentalists who are trying to breed endangered species in captivity by pouring in millions of dollars, so as to keep them alive for future generations & on the other hand we have these macho gun men. Put them behind bars, simple as that.

If we go on such shooting sprees then one day will come when parents take there kids to museums & show: ‘look kids that is how a real tree with a bird on it looks like!

Shameful, disgraceful blot on the face of humanity.
