After the new Google TV lineup, LG has now taken wraps off its 100-inch class “HECTO” Laser TV, which combines a special screen and an external Ultra Short Throw (UST) projection unit, capable of projecting a 100-inch display from mere 22-inches away. The Full HD 1080p system uses LG’s high end laser-based illumination system that can run for up to 25,000 hours without replacement. The LG’s 100-inch class Laser TV brings theater-like experience inside the walls of your home, provided you have a room big enough to accommodate its projection screen. Its 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio promises quality images in both dark and lighter settings.
The projection unit comes equipped with two 10W built-in speakers to enrich users with surround sound experience at home. Other salient features include an optical audio output, RS-232 interface, elegant Dynamic Arc Design and LG’s Smart TV platform. The LG HECTO Laser TV will be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month.
