Dwell on Design: Bryan Cranston shows sustainable 3Palms housing project

At this year’s Dwell on Design show at the LA Convention Center, actor Bryan Cranston is displaying his eco friendly 3Palms Project, in collaboration with Resource Furniture. The 3Palms is a zero energy residential property on the beach in Southern California that focuses on smart and green living. With the 3Palms, Cranston is looking for dual certifications under the Passive House and LEED for Homes standards. As of now, only a few homes in the country have managed to get both the certifications.

Boasting economical sustainable design and construction, the 3Palms makes use of Nuovoliola 10, which is a unique self-standing system that transforms from a Queen sized bed to a functional sofa with storage underneath. Resource Furniture will be exhibiting other such transforming furniture units at the show, including the Clei Lollisoft, Cabrio and Open Space systems. Cranston said…

My goal with this home is to show the world that living responsibly and living comfortably are not mutually exclusive. Smartly designed “transforming” furniture allows us to utilize our living space in a very efficient, flexible and stylish manner.

Bryan Cranston’s Three Palms project aims to send a strong environmental message about green living and the sustainable lifestyle.
