A new research has proved that yoga may help people with diseases like cancer and face the fear and uncertainty that ramifies after knowing about this disease. Several other studies have also proved that this age-old practice not only helps patients with cancer in overcoming their fear, anxiety and depression but also helps a lot in subjugating this deadly disease. In the words of Edmonton-based Kerry Courney, the Canada research chair in cancer and exercise, ‘There is growing evidence that the ancient practice may be a good fit for cancer patients, even during treatment.’
Actually, this is not the first study that has proved yoga as a prolific tool in conquering deadly disease like cancer but several studies, conducted earlier have also proved that yoga reduces stress hormones level, reduces tension level, and improves sleep.
Actually, yoga is an age old practice, which originated in the spiritual land of India and some ancient scriptures affirms that yoga is not just a practice but a way of life, which has the capacity to regulate every facet of our life.
