Urban women more prone to bulimia!

According to a new study, women who grow up in urban areas or moves to urban areas from rural area are more prone to bulimia. Bulimia is an eating disorder in which young women find themselves in a routine of over-eating and vomiting or purging. Researchers further state that bulimia is not the only problem that engulfs women in urban areas but other problems like schizophrenia, psychosis and depression also come flocking together.

This study further reveals that while only seven in every 100,000 women in rural area suffer from bulimia, the percentage of such women in urbanized areas and large cities is 16.7 and 25.5 percent respectively.

The facts uncovered through this study brings out important but startling truths about cites’ life. Moreover, these facts impel us to ruminate over the causes that give rise to such disorders.
