Recreational water illness or RWI is quite common among people who often enjoy swimming, as it is contracted by breathing, swallowing or having contact with contaminated water, carrying germs.

Therefore, every precaution should be taken in order to prevent the entry of RWI into our lives, as most common RWI often leads to diarrhea, skin, eye, ear and gastrointestinal illnesses.

Following are some of the tips that could be applied to prevent and avoid RWIs:-

Avoid swimming in case you have diarrhea.

Make sure that you don’t swallow water while swimming.

Recognize the importance of hygiene before, after, and during swimming.

Don’t change diapers at or near the pool, lake or beach.

Before going for swimming, ensure that water is not contaminated.

The use of these few but significant tips would help you enable you to prevent RWIs quite significantly.
