This diet is more like a quick fit and in 2 weeks time it promises a weight loss of nearly 6 pounds.

The Special K diet is efficient because it lowers the calories intake. Two of the meals are based on cereals and this will ensure you have enough energy during the 14 days of diet.

Also the diet doesn’t require many ingredients or hours spent on preparing the meals. In every ingredient there is a nutrient that helps your body function better. Milk ensures calcium, cereals have complex B vitamins and the portions of fruits and vegetables will ensure the vitamins and minerals.


What to eat during the Special K diet ?

In order to lose excess weight at a fast pace you must start each day with a bowl of Kellogg’s Special K cereals and a 2/3 cup of skimmed milk.

The milk and cereals healthy breakfast not only will make you fit but it also contains calcium and it will strengthen your bones.

At lunch time prepare your bowl and repeat what you did in the morning.

Only for dinner you are allowed to eat what you crave for with during the day as long as it’s low fat and nutritionally balanced.

Also, if you feel the need for a quick bite between meals you can eat other Kellogg’s products such as snack bars, protein shakes, cereal bars or meal bars or fruits like bananas, grapes, apples and so on. Don’t worry, you won’t get bored with the taste of cereals as they come in different flavors. You can choose from chocolaty delight, cinnamon pecan, blueberry,  original, red berries, vanilla almond, fruit & yogurt and protein plus.

Is the special K diet for everyone ?

The Special K diet is suggested for adults who have a body mass index greater than 25. In order to calculate your body mass index (BMI) prior to starting this diet, you can use an of the many online calculators.

This diet should be followed only for a period of 14 days with a 30 minutes exercise to achieve better results during the special K diet. Hopefully after the diet you will continue to eat breakfast as it is the healthiest meal of the day.
