A new kind of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) process has found about this disease. The technology may help to measure the severity of emphysema and its progression through time. It can happen without the radiation exposure of lung CT tests.
Emphysema damages airsacs in the lungs, causes cavities and hampers breathing ability. However, it can find in non-smokers too, it shows noteworthy anomalies in habitual long-term smokers. The researchers furthers says that emphysema causes twice the rate than that of normal ageing processes.
