A modern woman needs to juggle with many things, such as work, kids, and appearance and home chores. There are times, when the woman gives in to Botox as the only solution to look youthful, but there are some alternatives.

There are many reasons as to why our skin goes fast track on the road to ageing, and if we know the reasons, then there is a high possibility that we slow down the rate of ageing. There are many reasons, which can be internal such as hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiency, and genetics.

On the other hand, the reasons could also be external- using wrong cosmetic products, free radical in the air and UV radiation exposure. Here is a method wherein we can use our hormones correctly ad balance them out. This will only happen when we are aware of the kind of hormones present in our body and how they can affect the ageing process.

The Oestrogen, also known as the “diva hormone,” helps in keeping your skin smooth, soft, and supple. It helps in the production of elastin and collagen in your skin and helps in cell renewal, apart from maintaining bone structure.

Progesterone, known as the “calming hormone,” helps your skin to rest and repair, as it helps you attain sound sleep. It aids immunity and also helps in firming up the skin along with oestrogen and reduces inflammation and swelling.

The testosterone, known as the “sexy hormone,” helps in toning the muscle and maintaining the thickness of the skin. It enhances elastin and collagen and helps in cell renewal. The reason why it is the sexy hormone is because it helps in a healthy sex life as it aids your sexual juices. However, the drawback of a high level of this hormone is that it can increase facial hair and cause spots.

Cortisol is known as the “stress hormone” which is good if it is at a certain level, else it can be harmful as it then inhibits the production of collagen.

Apart from that, you can have a better appearance by using your make-up to create a central triangle by using blush on to draw attention to the middle part of your face. Apart from that, you can also pinch your face in order to give a natural flush to your face and increase blood flow. You can never prevent ageing, but you can definitely delay the onset of ageing!
