Swiss researches have warned people with pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) against using products, including toys and necklaces, that carry stronger magnets.
Before tabling their conclusion, researchers studied the effect of these strong magnets on 70 patients with devices like pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) and concluded that the magnets interfere with the operation of these devices.
However, these researchers further state that patients with such devices should not be scared of regular household magnets since they don’t interfere with the operation of these devices.
