Snack-Pack-a day habit amongst children is a matter of concern!

Children often love to eat snacks and crispy eatables and are more likely to become habitual.

Parents prefer buying snack-packs for their children to make them happy and delighted. But they are unaware of the fact that consumption of a crisp pack every day can prove harmful for health due to oil and salt content in it.

British Heart Foundation (BHF) warned that consuming a crisp pack every day can be alike as to the consumption of five liters of cooking oil per year, as a 35g of crisp pack contains two and half teaspoons of cooking oil and its regular consumption by children can be hazardous for health leading to diseases like obesity, type2 diabetes due to high-fat intake.

Parents need to control unhealthy eating habits of their children by providing them nutrition-rich diet with low-fat content. Further, they should debar children from habitual snacks consumption rather provide once a week. Fruits and vegetables consumption need to be enhanced.
