The British government specially did a research on the risk of insect-borne and other arthropod-borne viruses, emerging in the UK. It shows that the numbers of wicked new viruses are flowing in the Europe. Those viruses can kill the people without even any suspicion.
UK’s chief scientific adviser David King says, ‘Improved detection, classification and scrutinizing process will be helpful and critical to crop up the possible diseases in future’.
West Nile virus and Tahyna virus are already there in birds across Europe. Such diseases may already be infecting and killing people in Europe. Wildlife in the continent is a huge reservoir of potential pathogens and it needs to have a close watch to prevent the diseases in future.
