Scanning down the solutions to this growing problem, scientists are here to just come up with yet another reason to worry for the soda-loving global teenagers. — They have recently found strong links between high soda consumption and mental health problems!

Yes, teenagers with more soda-drinking habits tend to develop more mental health difficulties like — hyperactivity and mental distress. Increased consumption of sodas also reduces appetite for solid food leading to nutritional deficiencies. The sugar and caffeine in the sodas are also of no good to health.

So, Norway youths, be aware! The country has scored the world’s highest in carbonated soft drink consumption rate. Here, on an average each person consumes more than 30 gallons every year! Hope after this finding, one would surely give a second thought.

After all there are other ways to score the highest rank in the world map, besides being the country with the maximum cases of mental health problems.

Though, the exact reason behind the link between soda intake and mental distress is not clear, the link itself is enough to drive the teenagers to find for an alternative to their love for sodas.
