Drugs prescribed for patients with kidney transplant bump cancer risk!

Patients undergoing kidney transplants are more likely to have cancer. This appalling secret has been dug by a new study. However, it is not kidney transplant that gives way to cancer chances, but drugs, used to prevent rejection of the new kidney by suppressing the body’s immune system are the main culprits. Researchers believe that use of these drugs higher up the risk of about 18 different kinds of cancer. For collecting these results, researchers tracked about 29,000 Australian who underwent kidney transplant.

According to these researchers, particularly the kinds of cancer that may appear are nonmelanoma skin cancer, non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the rare skin malignancy known as Kaposi’s sarcoma.

Now what we should learn from these findings is actually somewhat oracular, since when a patient is required to have kidney transplant then he or she will have to go for it and. Moreover, it would be his compulsion to use these medicines. But if researchers try to come up with such substitutes of these drugs, prescribed for kidney transplant patients, which do not increase risks of then it would be the best solution to this problem because whereas it will reduce cancer’s risk at the same time would also enable patients to go for kidney transplant intrepidly.
