If you have a big event coming up and you want to look just right, the 2 day diet is just the right thing for you. Research has revealed that following a strict diet for two days a week, instead of always counting the calories, is a far more effective mode of losing weight. Here are a few tips and instructions for a two day diet:

  • Drink lots of water. The water will fill up your stomach making you not to feel hungry a period of time. Water will also wash out extra salt from your system. Besides cleaning your system, water will also improve your skin.
  • Don’t eat salty. Sodium in your organism causes your body to hold onto extra water weight to help handle the salt. Stop eating salt so that your body has less to get rid of.
  • It is known that eating les calories that you burn will lead to weight lose, so count your calories. The recommended amount of calories is 1200 per day if you want to lose some weight. Be careful, less than 1050 calories per day can have adverse effects.
  • Restrict carbs. Every pound of carbohydrates is related to three or even five pounds of water weight in your body. To bring your weight down quickly cut down on carbs. Avoid eating bread and pasta and stick to the carbs found in fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid carbonated beverages as they can lead to gas and bloating, which will hold back you attempt to slim down.
  • Create your own diet by selecting cheap, low calorie foods, like vegetables and fruits. Keep a evidence of all the foods you eat and then total the calories at the end of each day.

You should also keep in mind that these “miraculous” diets in which you lose a lot of weight in a short period of time are not very good. Even if you lose that weight, you will put it all back in a few days unless you regularly eat healthy.
