Six-year-old green enthusiast honored for his efforts

connor parris

Grown-ups delivering green sermons to little ones is a common practice. But how often have your seen children preaching to the mature? Here is a six-year-old setting a perfect example for us to follow. Connor Parris from Snodland is the youngest person to receive a council award for his contribution to the environment. The litter spreading all over Snodland Recreation Ground bothered this eco-conscious kid so much that he started cleaning the place.

Connor had gone out on a picnic with his parents when he was disgusted to see the children park to be overflowing with garbage. He started cleaning the place by picking up each piece of litter and putting it in the bins placed in the park. Ever since, the kid and his family visit the park from time to time, in order to maintain its cleanliness. He was one of 18 people to be named as a Tonbridge and Malling council Environmental Champion. We certainly need to learn about our environmental responsibilities from the six-year-old.
