Recyclable cardboard computer casing makes sustainability to follow design

A designer will hardly ever think beyond the design part while procuring something new. Eco-friendly aspects, green appeal, and all, if followed naturally, are the added advantages but you’ll never like these to interfere with your primary business. Sustainability follows design, and this is what Brenden Macaluso proves when he offers his computer cardboard casing, dubbed Recompute, made from recyclable cardboard. He doesn’t require any fasteners, screws, metals, plastics and other materials that may add to landfills.

Moreover, its internal cooling becomes more effective owing to the innovative design patterns corrugated on the cardboard. Trying to cash in on his design, Macaluso hopes to sell DIY kits with detailed instructions on how to do it in collaboration with the Houston Technology Center. However, it was displayed at the University of Houston College of Architecture Green Building Components exhibition for those who wanted to learn how to do it actually.
